While driving, sensors integrated into the anti-glare exterior mirrors monitor the intensity of light from behind in real-time and automatically adjust the mirror's reflectivity. When headlights from following vehicles are dazzling, the mirror dims and softens the reflected light; when there is no harsh light, reflectivity instantly returns to normal, ensuring a stable and clear rear view to enhance safety during night driving.
The mirror glass features a wedge-shaped structure-thicker at the top and thinner at the bottom, with an angle of approximately 10°-incorporating two reflective surfaces: an outer glass layer (low reflectivity) and an inner mirror layer (high reflectivity). A lever-style switch is located at the bottom of the mirror for driver operation.
Blue-tinted anti-glare mirrors: A special coating process induces optical interference with longer-wavelength yellow light (the dominant hue of high-beam headlights), directly reducing its intensity. This is a passive optical anti-glare method that functions automatically without requiring any driver input.
Li Auto's special design: On certain models, a semi-transparent wrap-around structure is added to the edge of the driver-side exterior mirror; this further attenuates intense glare from the edges, optimizing the night driving experience.
